We created this community to be a supportive, inclusive, and safe space - where you can be yourself, connect with others, and feel welcome. At TalkLife Workplace, your voice matters. While we encourage open and honest sharing, we also have a few boundaries to help keep everyone safe and respected.
We’re here to run TalkLife Workplace in a way that reflects our mission and values. We’re also committed to building a safe environment that meets international safety standards, including the UK Online Safety Act and the Digital Services Act.
If something goes against our community guidelines, it may be removed. In more serious cases, someone may be removed from the platform - but we’ll always explain our decisions and offer a way to appeal if needed.
We welcome different views and experiences, as long as they’re shared with empathy and respect.
TalkLife Workplace is a space just for employees, connecting from around the world. It’s pseudo-anonymous, so please don’t share your place of work or use identifiable profile pictures or usernames.
We take safety seriously. Any credible threat to life, or signs of exploitation, abuse, terrorism, or illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
TalkLife Workplace is a peer support community - not an emergency service. If you or someone you know needs urgent help, please check the “I need help” section or the wellbeing services in the app sidebar.
Please help us to keep this community safe. If you read or see something concerning, please flag it. This will alert our admin team who will review it. People rarely join with intent to cause trouble, but we will block those that do. Bullying is not cool. If you’re bullying someone we will suspend you. If you continue to bully we will take action to block your device and or we may report your activities to relevant authorities. Any sign of predatory behavior will lead to users being immediately banned and potentially being reported to the police.
👤 Usernames & Profile/Gallery Images
When choosing a username or uploading images for your profile or gallery, please consider the impact on other members of the community who may view this content.
Ensure that usernames and images comply with our guidelines. We reserve the right to remove any content that is offensive or suggestive. In such cases, we may also issue a suspension or ban as deemed appropriate.
💢 Disputes
If you believe content has been incorrectly removed from the platform, you have the option to request further information from the admin on shift. This will allow the admin to expand on the reasoning you have received for the removal.
If you have received a temporary or permanent ban from the platform, you have the option to appeal this decision when you attempt to log back on. All ban appeals are reviewed individually and a response provided.
Our moderation team deals with a large volume of flagged content on a daily basis and unfortunately, occasionally mistakes are made. If a genuine mistake has been made, content will be restored and bans reversed.
🧯 Keep it Safe
Keep it safe. We're here to share the ups and the downs, however, we're not a crisis support platform - if you are in a crisis situation please immediately contact local emergency services. You can find more help in the "I need help” section.
📏 Use in Moderation
Make sure you’re using TalkLife Workplace in a healthy way and keeping an eye on the time. We can even help by locking you out using the break option found under settings - ‘take a break’.
